We have our own farming operations in East Anglia and Lancashire which sit under the Richmond Farms banner.

We also have the Richmond Farms grower group. The benefits of membership for growers include free agronomy advice, long-term payment deals on the purchase of seed and a commitment from Richmond to market the whole crop. The Richmond Farms grower group now has 23 members and 37,000 tonnes of dedicated crops

Having our own farming operations in the North West and South East keeps us tuned in to the seasonal vagaries of vegetable growing in two of the main production areas of the country.

It also gives us first-hand knowledge of growing costs which affords us the ability to negotiate with our customers and growers from a position of knowledge & experience.

I run our farming operation in East Anglia along with our Technical Manager, Tony Dorey. Selecting land, choosing seed varieties, walking the crops and choosing optimum times for irrigation, spraying and harvesting are all interesting facets of the job. There are new challenges every year and our customers around the World certainly value our regular first-hand crop updates.
